Feb,07,2024: A new hotel has opened its doors in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-7, aiming to accommodate tourists visiting the southern base camp of Dhaulagiri Peak. This addition to the hospitality scene is anticipated to alleviate the challenges faced by trekkers along popular routes such as Todke-Dhaulagiri, Dhaulagiri Icefall, and the Dhaulagiri Trek. Before this, travelers encountered difficulties due to the lack of lodging and dining options in the area.

With a capacity to host 10-15 guests concurrently, the hotel, nestled in the picturesque Setini Valley at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level, is the brainchild of owner Kushal Paija. Plans for gradual expansion are already on the horizon to meet growing demand.

The significance of this development is underscored by Krishna Prasad Acharya, Vice-President of the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Gandaki. Currently engaged in promoting the Todke-Dhaulagiri Cultural Panorama Trail, Acharya sees the hotel’s establishment as a pivotal step towards bolstering tourism in Setini Valley. It’s poised to not only enhance the overall visitor experience but also fuel growth in the local tourism sector.
