July 21, Kathmandu: Renowned Nepalese climber Sanu Sherpa successfully climbed Gasherbrum II this morning becoming the first climber to make double ascent of 14 Peaks.
According to sources, Sanu, along with Japanese climber Naoko Watanabe, reached the summit of Gasherbrum II Thursday morning at 8 am local time.
Other climbers from different team also climbed GII today.Adrian Laza from Romania along with two Nepalese sherpas Tenjing and Chhangba climbed GII.
Few weeks ago Sanu also scaled Nanga Parbat.
Sanu Sherpa
Sanu Sherpa was born in Sankhuwashaba Nepal. He started work as a porter to earn money. He arrived Kathmandu in search for a job in 2005. He got his first job as a porter. He got first offer in mountaineering by Korean team to Cho Oyu. Later on he started leading expedition. For the first time he completed 14 peaks in 2019 becoming the third Nepalese climber to summit 14 Peaks.
