October 04, 2022: Taiwanese woman climber Grace Tseng aka Tseng Ko-Erh along with her guide Nima Gyalzen Sherpa, Phurba Thiley Sherpa, and Lakpa Tamang scaled Mt Manaslu today.
According to sources, she made the fastest ascent of Mt Manaslu without using supplemental oxygen. Grace Tseng stood atop Manaslu true summit at 7:30 am today as she left the base camp for summit push at 6:30 pm on Monday. They reached the summit from base camp in 13 hours. With this summit, Grace Tseng has now become the fastest female to summit Mount Manaslu without supplementary oxygen.
The team led by Nima Gyalzen reached camp I at 7:55, camp II at 10:25, camp III at 11:20 pm, camp IV at 3:58, and summit point at 7:30 am
This is Grace’s 12th 8000er. Grace is on a mission to complete all 14 peaks. She also climbed Manaslu in 2019 but it was not a true summit.
